Currency: Most international credit cards are accepted in Brazil, being advised that Visa is usually more accepted than Mastercard. American dollar is for sure the most accepted foreigner currency in Brazil. In big and/or tourist cities, such as Búzios, normally there is no problem to exchange foreign money; moreover, there is a large ATM network, that travelers will be able to use their debit and credit cards from United Kingdom and other countries. We advise you to confirm with your bank if your cards are enabled to make international transactions, since you are travelling abroad. You can also exchange money at the airport.
